He is a natural storyteller who kept the whole group (including the kids!) totally engaged and entertained. The wines were delicious, especially paired with the great spread of snacks they provided. We stayed with a little tour of the vineyard and then moved on to the tasting. We had 4 wines and some snacks, the wines were delicious and Ines was really friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely view of Sinatra as well. Really recommend

Good to know

How do I book?+

Choose the tasting, day and time and send your request: you pay nothing at this stage. We confirm availability by email and send you a link for secure payment; your booking is secured once paid. Tastings run at 11am, 2pm and 4pm (Portugal time), Monday to Saturday (the Trilogy Tuesday to Friday), at least 4 hours and up to 6 months ahead. Requests made after 6pm on Friday: from Monday afternoon. Minimum 2 people. Larger groups or other times on request.

Can I cancel?+

Shared tastings: free cancellation up to 48 hours before. Private tastings: free up to 1 month before; 50% refund up to 1 week before.

Which languages is the visit in?+

Portuguese and English. Choose the language when you book.

Can I bring children?+

Yes, accompanied, and they come free. Only guests aged 18 or over taste wine.

Can I bring pets?+

Yes, but always let us know in advance. We have animals at the estate and they don't usually like surprise visitors. Please tell us when you book.

I'm driving. What now?+

There is always a spittoon and water on the table. Drivers can taste without drinking, and take a bottle home.

What should I wear?+

Comfortable flat shoes: the visit goes through the vineyard, with soil and stones, and on the Atlantic tasting, sandy ground. It can be windy by the sea: bring a light jacket.

What if it rains?+

The visit goes ahead. On the Atlantic tasting the jeep ride to the sand vineyards does too, and we have a tasting room to welcome you there.

I have allergies or I'm vegetarian+

Let us know when you book and we'll adapt the regional board.

Can I give a tasting as a gift?+

Yes. Vouchers arrive by email right after purchase and are valid for 1 year. See the tasting vouchers.

I have a gift voucher+

Voucher visits are booked by email, at info@quintadesanmichel.pt. Please include the voucher code and two or three possible dates.

I'm a Wine Club member+

Your membership includes a visit with tasting for up to 5 people. Book by email and tell us you are a member.

General terms Experiences are by prior booking only. The wines served are subject to stock availability. Groups larger than the maximum numbers, or experiences outside the usual hours, are subject to prior enquiry. Payment and cancellation Bookings are confirmed by email by the estate and secured by payment, through the link sent with the confirmation. Nothing is charged before confirmation. Cancellation for non-private groups: free up to 48 hours before the experience. Cancellation for private groups: free up to 1 month before the experience; 50% refund up to 1 week before. Prices include VAT at the applicable legal rate.
