It is one of Portugal’s most valuable white grape varieties, an excellent grape variety, considered the national pilot grape variety, a rebellious grape variety with a strong personality. In Colares alone, it produces tense, lively, saline wines with unparalleled longevity.
From an oenological point of view, it is undoubtedly one of the most valuable Portuguese white grape varieties.
In 2020, in its special edition Vinhos do Ano, Revista de Vinhos named Arinto one of the best wines of 2020.
Color: Citrus with golden tones
Aroma: Discreet nose. It has aromas of apple, lemon, melon, mint and some toast.
Notes: On the palate it’s tense, energetic. It has a vibrant acidity, well integrated with the ample volume in the mouth. It finishes with a minerality typical of the grape variety. Salty and persistent.
